David Thompson Brigade Stops In Wenatchee

Yesterday the David Thompson Brigade stopped in Wenatchee on their way downriver to Astoria, OR, retracing the steps of the famous explorer and trader, David Thompson. They plan to reach the mouth of the Columbia 200 years to the day of his original historic journey.
Wenatcheeians and community leaders alike gathered on the flooded banks of the river yesterday at Confluence State Park to welcome the brigade and reenact the historic welcoming ceremony.
