The Puppets Play Baseball!
Our locally famous giant puppets were at last night’s AppleSox game and our very own Big Miner threw out the first pitch!
The puppets were accompanied by Exhibits Coordinator Bill Rietveldt and they started out the evening greeting fans as they showed up at Paul Thomas Sr. Field at Wenatchee Valley College.
There were six puppets total: David Thompson, the Apple Blossom Queen, Granny Smith, the Big Miner and of course – Coyote and Beaver!
Here’s a short video of the puppets at the game by Museum and arts supporter, Rod Daut.

Our thanks to Rod, Bill and the volunteers who came out to play and greet AppleSox fans! The kids love it and it was a big hit!
Word is, there was a Mariners scout in the stand who said that Big Miner has some promising pitching skills…
