July 3 Join Us For ‘Wenatchee Naturalist’ Closing Reception
As part of Wenatchee First Fridays, the Wenatchee Valley Museum and Cultural Center will host a free closing reception for its exhibit “Consider Becoming a Wenatchee Naturalist” on Friday July 3 from 5 to 8 p.m. Refreshments will be served.
The exhibit uses photographs, specimens and nature field journals to illustrate the joys and contributions of volunteers who have taken the annual Wenatchee Naturalist class.
These trained volunteers lead field trips through local landscapes and assist with conservation projects such as stream restoration. The exhibit was created in cooperation with the Wenatchee River Institute and Chelan-Douglas Land Trust.
The museum is located at 127 South Mission Street in Wenatchee. It opens at 10 a.m. and admission is waived all day on the first Friday of the month. For more information contact exhibits coordinator Bill Rietveldt at 888-6247.
