Super Summer Adventures Going Strong, And Not Over Yet!

Every summer, more than 1,000 schoolchildren from all over the Wenatchee Valley come to the Museum to take part in our fun, educational Super Summer Adventures sessions.

This summer marks our 18th year of bringing these exciting hands-on, tactile learning experiences to kids – and the program is going stronger than ever. With 11 4-day sessions this summer and more than 90 workshops to choose from, there’s something for everyone.

Whether your son or daughter wants to learn about acting and stagecraft, engineering, the culinary arts or just art in general – there’s a session for every youngster.

“I like it because there’s a wide variety of classes, and it’s STEM-related. The teachers are great and my son loves it because it’s hands-on – you don’t have just sit there and be quiet,” said parent Sheli Funderburk.

Sheli’s son, who is 8 this year, has participated in Super Summer Adventures for the last three years and her daughter, who’s 6, is enjoying her first summer taking the workshops.

“They can do stuff that they can’t do in class,” Funderburk said. “They can push boundaries they couldn’t otherwise.”

Sessions started June 15th and will continue through August 27th and there is still time to enroll your school-aged son of daughter. Weekly tuition per student is $170 ($140 for museum members), or $85 per session ($70 for museum members).

Check out the full Super Summer Catalog here and then reserve your youngster’s spot in one or more of our upcoming sessions by calling the museum at 509-888-6240.
