Join us for a silent film screening set to live pipe organ music next Friday!

Watch The Last Laugh on Friday, April 25, at 6 PM, accompanied by a lecture from Wenatchee Valley College (@wenatchee_valley_college) Professor Hart Johnson and live music on the Wurlitzer pipe organ by Thomas Kozina.

Originally produced in 1924, The Last Laugh centers around a nameless hotel doorman, who is fired after he's deemed too "old and unfit" to promote the hotel's image, resulting in a rapid downward spiral.

Learn about one of the deadliest avalanches in Nor

Learn about one of the deadliest avalanches in North American History during the Wellington Train Disaster Lecture & Caravan Tour.

Over 115 years ago, the deadliest avalanche swept down the snowy Cascades, burying two trains and killing 96 people.

On Friday, May 30, at 6:30 PM, Randy Dasho of Port Orchard, WA, will meet guests at the historic Wells House to discuss the Great Northern Railroad and recount the events of this disaster. This lecture is free and open to the public. Attendance at the lecture is not required for attendance for the caravan tour. Registration is recommended.

On Saturday, May 31, at 9 AM, join us for a guided caravan tour of the Wellington Site, where patrons will personally commute to the Cascade Tunnel. At each stop, our expert guide will uncover the storied legacy of the Great Northern Railway Company, visiting several historic sites between Leavenworth and Stevens Pass.

Participants will receive a detailed itinerary by email, complete with a map and Google Maps pins for easy navigation. Cost per car is $75 for members and $95 for non-members. Registration is required.

On April 18, at 7 PM, teams of up to 6 players will compete for prizes in this evening of challenging trivia. Bring your own snacks and we will have wine or beer for purchase for those 21 years and older. Those coming without a team can join smaller teams/other single guests.

Chelan High School student Katherine Eickmeyer is gifting the best birthday present to her grandma, Edith Lagge, for her 90th birthday! The pair were also treated to a birthday serenade on the Wurlitzer pipe organ from Exhibits & Facilities Assistant Matthew Pippin.

Eickmeyer's painting "Bestow" won 1st Place in the Regional High School Art Show. This painting will remain on display through the rest of this week. The Regional High School Art Show will be leaving our rotating gallery after April 19th, returning all artworks back to the artists.

The Wenatchee Valley Museum and Cultural Center is honored to have University of Washington Professor Josephine Ensign discuss the Homelessness and the Meaning of Home

On Thursday, May 8, 7-9 PM, guests are invited to learn about the socio-economic complexities of homelessness, taking a lesson from Ensign's research on homelessness in Seattle and what those stories teach us about the current crisis throughout our state and country. This will be the final lecture of the 2024-25 Film and Speaker Series.
